Little Rocky Lodge is located in a quiet neighborhood in Laguna
Park, just west of the Lake Whitney dam on Hwy 22.
We are approximately 50 miles south of Ft Worth, 60 miles south
of Dallas, and 30 miles northwest of Waco. We are very easily
accessed from I-35, just 20 miles west of Hillsboro.
Since we are just west of the Whitney Dam, we will give
directions to the Dam from North and South, and then directions
from the dam to the lodge.

From the North (Dallas, Ft Worth, via I-35): From the
North (Dallas, Ft Worth, via I-35): At the convergence of
I 35E and I-35W is exit 370 for Hillsboro. Take this exit and head right
(West - Rt 77/579) & follow into Hillsboro. Turn right at
the second light in downtown Hillsboro (W. Elm St – which is also Hwy 22)
going west. Follow to the Whitney Dam.… then after the dam..…

Alternate from Ft Worth and
points west: Follow 174 South to 933 down the East side of the
lake, turn right at Hwy 22 and head west to Dam...
From points South via I-35: Exit I-35 at exit 368A and
follow the signs for Hwy 22 west thru Hillsboro and to the Whitney
Dam...(Exit 368A and head left (west) on 22/171 for 2 miles. Turn right & follow 22/171/81 north for 1/2 mile. Turn
left in downtown Hillsboro at W. Elm St – which is also Hwy 22
going west. Follow to the Whitney Dam.… then after the dam..…(see below for directions from Dam)
If you would like to
avoid the Waco traffic and don't mind country roads you can take
HWY 6 exit off of I35 just south of Waco, this will take you to
the town of Valley Mills where you will turn right onto HWY 56N.
HWY 56N will bring you out at the yellow light intersection at
HWY 22 (just west of the Dam). Turn left onto Hwy and go to #2
below... |

IMPORTANT! FOR THE PRIVACY OF OUR LODGE GUESTS, WE HAVE
REMOVED OUR SIGN FROM HYW 22. WE WERE GETTING TOO MANY
VISITORS COMING IN AND LOOKING AROUND ON WEEKENDS.
REMOVING THE SIGN HELPS TO KEEP THE LODGE PEACEFUL AND
UNCROWDED WITH NON-GUESTS DURING YOUR STAY. THEREFORE,
PLEASE FOLLOW THESE DIRECTIONS CLOSELY. THE KEY IS TO
TURN AT THE VACANT CORRAL RESTAURANT - THAT IS ON THE
CORNER OF CR 1806. THAT WILL LEAD YOU DOWN TO THE LODGE.
1. OBSERVE THE
45 MPH
Speed Limit! The Laguna Park Police Department
does some fishing of its own at the west end of the dam
and we don't want you to be on their hook!!

2. After passing
the flashing yellow light at the intersection of Hwy 22
and Hwy 56, the Hwy goes from 4 lanes to 2 lanes. You
will also see a speed limit 55 sign at that point.
3. On the South
(left) side of the road you will see a large billboard . The exit for Rd 1806 is
just across the street from that sign, just a few yards
down.
4. As you rise
over the hill (slow down, you are almost there), on your
right hand side you will see a building and sign that
say "Talk of the Town" and just beyond that is a small restaurant with
"Corral" on the front. Your right turn is just in
front of that restaurant. (if you get all the
way to the Cliffview sign you have gone too far)

At the first fork in the road, bear right. At the next
split, you will see a street sign that says "1807". Bear
left and you are driving down our main entrance! |

If
you are arriving from the West traveling east on 22, from
Meridian, Clifton, or the West side of the lake via Hwy 56:
After you pass the Hwy 22 - Hwy 56 (north) intersection
(prior to Laguna Park), you will start up a hill and see a large
yellow sign on your left that says "Cliffview". Look next on
your left for the "Corral" restaurant. Your turn is left on the
far side of the Corral restaurant. Continue with # 5 above. |
